I picked up a file from the tubes last night...

I do not know whether to call it a misfortune, or a moment of luck blessed by some insane god out for shits and giggles... but last night, I somehow ended up downloading a pdf from a friend who [DATA EXPUNGED, UPON SOURCE REQUEST].

It turned out to be quite huge, and I spent last night reading through it.

"The extent to which the Taliban regime has violated the human rights of Afghan women is unparalleled in recent history. This report contains compelling evidence of how a society in which women played a prominent role in the health professions, in government, and in teaching, has been replaced by one where: women are regularly and brutally beaten for walking on the street without a male chaperone or without a garment (burqua) that covers their bodies from head to toe; many women must beg because they are largely forbidden from working; women cannot obtain health care from many facilities and cannot be examined by a male doctor without a chaperone, and schools for women and girls have closed their doors with the exception of Qu'ranic training for girls under eight. If I had a weaker gut, I'd feel ill from reading the horror stories this file described. Gulping down the rising queasiness by chewing on crystallized Black Opium, I proceeded to read the whole thing. Frankly, even I'm shocked.

Is this the theocratic, medieval nightmare that Adhaalath And Friends are plotting for us?. As I read though the horrors that were recorded, I recalled the many times that such brutality and injustice were carried out in "the name of Islam" in the conquered lands. I am convinced that the "Shari'a law" that these people are pushing for will not be benevolent at all; Why? Have you seen their bloodthirsty groupies?. They sound like a mob of ravening hounds and criminals caught red-handed, instead of a group of peaceful emissaries to me.

Seriously, if they were just here to spread peace, equality and goodwill; they wouldn't need to get so butthurt and go "Kill Whosoever Makes Fun Of Islam!!!".(quote from the bloodthirsty groupies page) The recent lulzstorm in Muraasil.com by a bunch of batshit insane grunts who learned how to type thaana and for some reason, got an internet connection; are proof that these people are up to their ears in skulduggery; why else would you rant and threaten to outright kill a guy who wrote his thoughts? It's as if they were caught doing something so wrong, they could not bear to let the whole world know.

If they were doing something so horribly wrong they could not afford to let a witness live; we have a right to know what that was - especially when they profess to be the religion of peace and tolerance, and are going to implement their laws in this land.
